Nochecita /no-chay-see-ta/
Nochecita aka Cita) is a 13 year old, formerly wild mustang mare rounded up and adopted off Bureau of Land Management's Northern Nevada Range as a two year old. She and her partner in crime, Sandy Klein have combined talents to create beautiful equine art that is available for sale! Sandy is an avid horseperson and attended the Kansas City Art Institute where she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1985. Sandy and "Cita" have been studying the art of Dressage for the past 8 years and in the course of their time together, Sandy recently found that Cita had a hidden talent for abstract watercolor art!

Yes, a Horse Painted That!!
Each painting is first done by the fuzzy four legged artist, with the assistance of her assistant, Sandy! Sandy helps mix the paints, under close supervision from Cita, then hands the brush to Cita. Cita holds the brush in her mouth and depending on her mood, creates energetic or intricate strokes on the paper.
Once the color painting is finished, the artist signs the pieces with her hoof. After Sandy studies the piece carefully, she determines what hidden scene is in the painting and brings that out with the use of a graphite pencil. Each piece is very unique!
